Look what my stepmom made! Is that the sign of a proud mother-in-law or what? You can tell by the dates that my husband graduated a while ago (with highest honors, no less - proud wife here, too!). But my stepmom's embroidery machine is a relatively new addition to the family.
I'd love to give you more details on the mini-quilt, but my husband took it to work the day after Christmas. It's already hanging in his cubicle. My stepmom didn't know this, but Ben's always wanted to hang his diplomas at work. The framed diplomas are too big for his cube, though, so this wall hanging is perfect.
Funny, my dad is also a Georgia Tech alumnus. I think their shared alma mater was Ben's only saving grace with my dad when Ben and I started dating. Now my parents love him, of course. But I'm not sure any father is thrilled with the idea of his daughter dating any boy. So for me to marry some who earned A's in Calc 4 at an engineering school, my dad couldn't complain about the brain power being brought into the family gene pool.
